PLATFORM
"I am proud to serve and empower the members of Cumberland County. Now, I want to serve and empower the education professionals of our region. We need someone who can communicate the needs of each local, create and guide NCAE policy, and help move our organization forward to strengthen public education in NC. I ask that you allow me, Tamika W. Kelly, to represent you on the NCAE Board of Directors."
MY VISION
Strong Locals
The heart of our Association are the locals that we serve. Without the everyday, on-the-ground work that these leaders take on, NCAE could not be the force it has grown to be. It is important to me that we grow strong locals in our region. In doing so, NCAE can support the unique needs of each local but also share best practices across the state. To achieve this, I advocate for effective communication between regions and NCAE.
Clear Policies
The landscape of education is changing, but some things will always remain true. The work of NCAE must be guided by policies that navigate these changes but that are also relevant to the issues we face in and outside the classroom as education professionals.
